Trans Visibility Awards 2026:

Terms and Conditions of Entry

Age: All nominees must be aged 18 years or over as of 1st November 2026.
Residency: Nominees must be current residents of the state of Victoria, Australia.
Identity: These awards are specifically designed to celebrate the achievements of trans and gender-diverse individuals and trans-led organizations/projects.
Exclusions: Current staff members, board members, and contractors of Transgender Victoria (TGV) are ineligible to be nominated for an award. Immediate family members of TGV staff are also ineligible.

Mandatory Consent: No individual or project may be nominated without their explicit prior consent. By submitting a nomination, the Nominator affirms they have obtained the Nominee's permission to share their story and personal details with TGV.
Self-Nomination: Self-nominations are permitted and encouraged.
Accuracy: All information provided in the nomination form must be true and correct to the best of the Nominator’s knowledge. TGV reserves the right to disqualify any entry found to contain false or misleading information.

Nominations Open: 8th July, 2026.
Nominations Close: 11:59PM, 16th August, 2026.
Award Announcement: Winners will be announced at the Gender Revel Gala, held in November 2026.

Panel: Winners will be selected by an independent judging panel appointed by TGV.
Finality: The judges' decision is final, and no correspondence or appeals will be entered into regarding the results.
Criteria: Nominees will be assessed based on their impact, leadership, and contribution to Victorian trans communities within the specific category for which they were nominated.

Data Usage: Personal information collected during the nomination process will be used solely for the purposes of administering the awards, in accordance with TGV’s Privacy Policy.
Promotional Material: By accepting a nomination, Nominees agree to the use of their name, likeness, and a summary of their achievements in TGV’s promotional materials (including social media, website, and press releases) related to the awards.
Sensitivity: TGV acknowledges the importance of safety and privacy. If a nominee has specific requirements regarding how they are identified publicly, these must be communicated to TGV upon acceptance of the nomination.

TGV reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the awards or specific categories if necessary due to unforeseen circumstances.
TGV reserves the right to revoke an award if the recipient’s conduct is found to be significantly inconsistent with the values and mission of Transgender Victoria.
